1. What’s a CyberWocky?

- CyberWocky is your one-stop center for the best competitive gaming in Newport News, Yorktown, and Hampton Roads! We offer PC and console gaming with the latest releases on XBox 360, Playstation 2 & 3, Nintendo Wii and Gamecube. We also sell and promote other popular games such as Magic the Gathering, Warhammer, WoW TCG and a variety of other popular items such as anime! 2. Where is CyberWocky located?


- CyberWocky is located at the newly opened Master’s Crossing in Kiln Creek near the Newport News/Williamsburg International Airport and the Jefferson Ave. Wal-Mart. 3. What time does CyberWocky open/close?

- Current times and schedules for CyberWocky have been adjusted for the school seasons. Detailed information can be viewed on our Home page. Our current times of operation are listed below:

Monday - Thursday (4:00PM - 10:00PM)
Friday (4:00 PM - 2:00 AM)
Saturday (10:00 AM - 2:00 AM)
Sunday (1:00PM - 10:00PM)
Grade-School Holidays (Store opens at 10:00AM)

4. What are CyberWocky’s services/rates?

- We ask that you please view our Services & Rates page for pricing and service information. There are different pricing and service structures for those who are CyberWocky members, and to those who are non-members.

5. What forms of payment does CyberWocky accept?


We accept cash, Visa and Mastercard. We currently do NOT accept checks.

6. How does my purchased time work?

- Purchased time is kept track of via software that our staff uses to determine how much time you have purchased (in hours). You purchase hours at the front counter, and we add that time to your account. This time can be spent playing on the PC, console, or other games, and is only deducted if you have a console game checked out or are engaged in using a PC. Purchased time is kept on your account until it is closed.

7. What are the ground rules at CyberWocky?

- Ground rules are simple, and as you may expect, we have a page solely dedicated to them. To view them, please visit our Rules of Play.

8. Is CyberWocky currently hiring?

- CyberWocky is always interested in finding dedicated and hard working people to staff our facilities. Please view our CyberWocky employment page to see if any job positions are currently listed. You can always fill out an application to be reviewed if CyberWocky is ever in need of good employees!


General Service Questions

1. What games does CyberWocky have?

- Cyberwocky provides a wide array of games and a variety of games types. Our gaming inventory is constantly changing, so stop by the store and see for yourself.

2. What kind of computers does CyberWocky have?

- CyberWocky packs a punch with some of the latest in gaming hardware. All of our machines come stock with nVidia GeForce 6800 256MB video cards, and 1 GB of RAM!

3. What kind of Internet connection does CyberWocky have?

- CyberWocky offers 4 dedicated T1 1.5 Mega-bit lines! This means that network lag will be minimal, as opposed to using broadband in a residential neighborhood that is actually being shared by hundreds of other cable/DSL users.

4. Does CyberWocky do parties/rentals?

- Yes! CyberWocky can fulfill a wide variety of accommodations for parties, groups, and private gaming tournaments! Please contact sales or call us at 757-283-6001 to find out more information.

5. Can I install my own games/applications on the computers?

-No, you cannot install anything on the computers. We do this for security purposes to prevent against computer viruses, trojans, and all sorts of malicious things that we don’t want on our PCs. This keeps the computers running at 100%, and ensures that we can continue to offer the optimal speed that you need to game with minimal lag, and a lot more frags!

6. Can I bring in my own console games/memory sticks?

-Yes, but you must abide by our ESRB consent agreement if you are under 17 years of age. You must also have the full packaging (CD case), and instruction manual for the game. We do this to make sure that you own the license for the game. If under certain restrictions, we must get parent consent to add games to your game list under your account.

7. Does CyberWocky have guilds/clans in any of the games listed?

-CyberWocky is aiming to form, and to let others form clans or guilds for certain games to spark competition. As this progresses, and if any groups are formed, we will be sure to announce these in our news section, and will most likely hold a guild section on our web site.

8. Can I bring my own keyboard, mouse, headset, etc.?

-Yes! If the device does not require installation of any drivers, you may. Keep in mind that we are in no way responsible for your equipment, so keep track of it.

9. Can I hook my laptop up to the Internet?

- This is limited at the moment. Those utilization laptops will have to be wired in and manually configured on our network. Wireless will become available soon for members only.

10. Can I suggest a game to CyberWocky if they don’t already have it?

- Yes! If you are a CyberWocky member, you may request a game on a listing at the front desk, and rally other members to do the same! If the game is in popular demand, we will see about purchasing the game to expand our service to you!

11. Does CyberWocky hold gaming tournaments?

-We are constantly involving ourselves with events & promotions. Keep yourself posted by checking the events/news page for current activities. If you would like to suggest an event, or find more information about current events, contact sales or call us at 757-283-6001.

12. Do you have a referral program that offers incentives?

-Yes, CyberWocky does offer a referral program! For each referral that leads to a membership purchase, the referrer receives one hour free of gaming! There is no cap on the amount of referrals a member can give. (If a member referred 3 friends who ended up becoming members, that member would receive 3 free hours of game play!) Only members may participate.

Food & Drink Questions

1. Does CyberWocky have any food/drinks?

- CyberWocky offers an assortment of pre-packaged snack goods. We have a snack bar packed with mini pizzas, hamburgers, BBQ sandwhiches, ice cream and more. Our drink selection includes various soft drinks, water, and the entire line of Monster Energy drinks.

2. Can I bring my own food/drink to CyberWocky?

- Yes! Though we offer good food at our snack bar, we are not aimed at being strict like other game centers around the area. We believe that putting restrictions on what you can eat or where you get it from isn’t as cool as being able to eat what you want, and enjoying a fun day of gaming at CyberWocky. Ask a Cyberwocky attendant for menus to local eateries that deliver.

3. Can I eat/drink near the computers?

-Yes, you may eat/drink near the computers. Again, we are not as strict as other game centers around the area, but we do ask that you enjoy, and clean up any mess afterwards!
